Matilda Jnr.

MATILDA JR. is a musical designed for the benefit of young people and was most suitable for The Kids from Crigg as there are some very interesting parts to be played by a most enthusiastic company.

The main role Matilda was played by Beth Buckley she gave a very mature performance at such a young age her voice and diction was most outstanding.

Tyler Warren was also outstanding as the cruel Miss Trunchbull he kept up the very sinister attitude all the way through the production even with a leg in plaster. Abigail Welburn was a most likeable Miss Honey with a very pleasing manner that was just right for this role.  All the supporting roles were of the general high standard.

The stage sets were very well thought out as was the lighting and sound system.

This was an excellent junior production and this society have made great strides over the last few productions.
