~~The Action takes place in and around the famous Ankh Morpork Opera House. I liked the show, there are some funny moments and lots of references to the traditional Phantom of the opera, I kept thinking any minute the chandelier would come crashing down.
The story of course is not quite as it seems, and you had to listen to the story to get exactly what was happening, Perdita wants to sing and auditions to join the opera, she has a wonderful voice and is put into the chorus, the main singer Christine however pretty is not that good at singing, so they get Perdita to sing behind her so it looks like Christine is the one singing. Add this to two excellent witches on the hurt for a third to join their coven and the theatre owners trying to keep the show open but finding it difficult as the strange Opera Ghost the phantom keeps killing off people along the way.
There were some good performances, nice costumes and some very funny lines, everyone played there part well. The audience got all the comedy and the show came over very well the glossary in the programme helped explain who everyone was.
A very enjoyable evening I look forward to seeing you all again soon.
