Magic of the Musicals

Well if you want to know how to raise funds for your forthcoming shows look no further than the beautiful Mottram St James Village Hall where this society held their recent concert and what an evening of vibrant entertainment it was too, not your usual run of the mill same old same old, no this show had been very carefully thought out with attention detail throughout, well done Jennie Lewis. The simplicity they adopted for costumes worked very well with the exception of individual numbers whereby soloists dressed accordingly and very smart and elegant they looked too. The numbers chosen for both singing and dance made such a pleasant change and were delivered with class and enthusiasm from everyone. Individual performances were in abundance form your more seasoned performers to your first timers well done (Diane Cordwell). Amazing solo’s from Tina Lynn Spiers, Don Bremner, Ian Tyler, Steve Mills, Lauren Spiers, But have to say the most outstanding number I have ever heard came from Alison Brander with her rendition of the Audition Song the pace and deliverance of this number was brilliant with all the professionalism of a west end star a huge congratulations. The dancers were under huge constraints with the space available but how beautifully they all looked and moved with grace of a core de ballet it was inspiring to see such talent credit to you all and to Alex Howarth for her brilliant forth sight in putting these dance routines down.
