A show visit with nostalgia. I love this show and it brought back pleasant memories. I also thoroughly enjoyed this production. Sharp and sassy just like the excellent leading lady played by Claire Smith. Accent, attitude and performance excellent. The other cast members also hit the mark with style.

Gavin Burton (Eddie), Ollie and Cam Scougal (Young Graham) and Amber Lackie (Sharon) completed the family set up. In the factory we had the girls Karen Fleming (Connie), Elaine Scougal (Claire), Natalie Dalziel (Beryl), Claire Ralston (Cass) and Laura Cameron (Sandra). They were well supported by the rest of the principles Mr and Mrs Hopkins (Grant and Natalie), Monty the shop steward (Alan), Sid, Barry, Mr Hubble and Mr Buckton (Mike, Cam, Dave and Raymond). I especially enjoyed the cameo roles of Harold Wilson (Rodger Brunton), Barbara Castle (Bethany Edwards) and an over the top American boss Tooley (Craig Douris). This was a busy supporting cast who all played their roles with conviction and a lot of humour and deserve a mention. The list is large but well done to Dianne, Linsey, Liz, Gemma, Ella S, Ana, Ella Mac, Millie, Joan, Elaine, Yvo and Susan.

The direction was spot on with the simple set used to full effect with minimum movement. Singing was of a high standard and the choreography was co-ordinated and slick. The whole package was a delight with sound and lighting completing the picture. Well done to all the backstage heroes. Costumes were period and props and crew effective.

Thank you for the hospitality and a very delightful afternoon spent with you all in Dagenham.
