This was my first visit to TADLOP as the newly appointed regional representative for district 2 and I’m
hoping it won’t be my last!
Based on the real-life events 50 years ago in 1968 it tells the story of the strike by women for equal pay at
Fords Dagenham plant and TADLOP brought it to life with a passion. From the opening number to the
curtains closing you could tell that everyone on stage was enjoying performing in the show as much as the
audience. The set was simple yet very well thought out.
The cast worked as a tight unit. Roisin Weaver played Rita O’Grady extremely well, she was supported by
Kurt Hassell who played Eddie O’Grady (her husband) the two bounced off one another very well. Rosemary
Gouge who played Beryl was a hoot! her timing on her lines were great and her persona of Beryl was
outstanding, I noticed she did shock one or two audience members.
There were some issues with the sound on the night I attended with some late entrances, so some parts
of perhaps crucial lines were missed. This also happened with some of the soloists where the music was
perhaps slightly too loud.
Myself and Becky had a wonderful time at TADLOPs production of Made in Dagenham and we’d have loved
to go back and watch it again. We look forward to seeing you in My Fair Lady October 2018
