I have not been to many Panto's at Lochside and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the acting and performance from all concerned. The dancing and choreography was especially good with the timing and coordination of a high standard. It was good to see so many youngsters taking part, and it is the perfect vehicle to get a lot of people involved. I cannot fault anyone in this performance and the whole cast was super. Red played by Becky Niven has a good voice and her acting very good. Idris Dean, as Dame was super and his comic timing good. I especially liked the way he had perfected his welsh accent !!!!! The Wolf played by Jill Williams was wonderfully sleek and nasty and got the right amount of boo's from the audience. Vicky Long, Kay Potts and Sadie Johnstone were excellent as the three little pigs and their interludes, all very good. Jack and Jill, Emma Middleton and Lauren Carson (who also was choreographer), played their parts very well. The remainder of the principals were all excellent and I liked the comedy interaction between them all. The compulsory panto horse also made an appearance and was neigh bad. It is good to see a company getting the younger members involved and it was evident that there are some stars in the making. Thank you Lochside for a most enjoyable evening.
