Choreographer: The Street Urchins
Once again a superb show from Lochside Theatre Company.
Jason Reekie excelled as Seymour, the inhibited love lorne, nerd. His costume and mannerisms added to his excellent acting skills and singing. Audrey played by Joyce Reekie was a superb foil and her accent and costuming also added to the excellent portrayal of her part.
I could not fault anyone in this show and the small cast doubled up wonderfully well.
The Street Urchins harmonised superbly with their own numbers and when backing the principals.
The technicalities of this show with an ever growing Audrey 2 were well handled with the space available to the company and Alan Scott was a busy man. Not only was he MD but also created the set and lighting as well as being the Audrey 2 voice.
I was disappointed for the Company by the poor numbers in the audience. Usually this theatre is full for a LTC show and I hope this will be rectified for the remainder of the week.
Thank you Lochside for another excellent performance.
