Normally this show is done with a very small cast, and I was surprised having read the programme to see the number of cast listed, and being done in the round I was intrigued as to see how the show would unwind. The layout was extremely well done, having set Skid row off stage and presenting the combo immediately behind the hoardings and positioning the florist shop and Dentists surgery on the main stage. This enabled the ensemble to mill around prior to the opening thus leading straight into Skid Row which was enthusiastic to say the least good strong ensemble work well done. The music throughout was strong and toe tapping led by Tim Walker well done. Seymour (Ben Ireson) gave an amazing performance in this role truly unforgettable wonderful characterisation with a strong melodic voice well done. Audrey (Kirsty Newton) dizzy blonde so right for this role, beautiful voice which delivered the numbers with ease, another strong performance well done. Three tremendous performances were delivered by Chiffon, Ronette, and Crystal, (Francesca Bowman, Michelle Anderson, and Alison Brander) fabulous harmonies. Mr Mushnick (Rob Hargreaves) commanding role trying to control Seymour and Audrey well done. Orin (Stuart Dutton) scary part, I would like to have seen the song delivered in the dentist surgery as opposed to off stage as this    highlights the character but that said well done. Audrey II as we know is the Plant which throughout the show grows to an enormous size, obviously it has to have a voice and may I say what a voice Jonathan Hall a tremendous unseen role well done. The set was dressed beautifully well and the Plant was the best I’ve seen well worth the expense, as was the effort needed to work it well done.

A thoroughly enjoyable show well received by an appreciative audience. Many thanks for the hospitality during my visit
