Little Shop of Horrors is a feel good show and this was performed very well led by Seymour (Kaius Calver-Hart) and Audrey (Kimberley Kostryca). They both sang extremely well and had first rate characterisations. They were well supported by Mr. Mushnik (David Phillips) also in fine voice. Orin the dentist (Dion Oldridge) sang very well and had a crazy, hysterical delivery but because of his youthful look he lacked a little of the sadistic maniac needed for this role. Crystal (Antonia McDermott), Ronnette (Harriet Hall) and Chiffon (Caitlin Hilton) sang and moved well, always in a threesome. Audrey II was operated by (Kyle Theobald) and voiced by (Andy Evans) with appropriate comedic and menacing delivery. They worked very well together.
Overall this was a very enjoyable production. The set was good and Audrey II grew and grew. The sound, lighting and costumes were good and the ensemble sang very well and complemented the principals. Well done to the production team Greg Snape, Simon Percy and musicians and Hannah Leaning on a great show.
Thank you Gainsborough for the invitation.
