This was especially written for First Stage (the Junior section of IODS) and  told the story of Granddad and Grandma who are looking forward to seeing their grandchildren –  but the television breaks down and they have to recall all the songs and artists from the past, to keep them entertained. These of course, were performed by the company.  There were some brilliant performances from the children, there being two groups of juniors and seniors, and it is amazing how some have improved and will be welcome in the main society when they are seventeen.

Numbers from “Dad’s Army”, “The Monkeys”, “Happy Days” & “Friends”, to name but a few.

Some excellent solo performers and even a Greek Tragedy, extremely funny.

Mentioning just a few who worked hard throughout the show, there was Joel Blakey as Granddad, Scarlett Copsey as Grandma, Mum and Dad were Megan Rowe and Reece Wilding.

The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and this rubbed off on the audience and I am sure all the granddads and grandmas watching.
