Spa Theatre Company performed one of the most famous musicals of all time, Les Misérables. The story follows the life of Jean Valjean when released from prison and starts his new life.
The principle cast is vast it's very difficult to separate them all.
Eponie (Lili Bennett), Fantine (Ruby Marshall), Cosette (Starzie Bridgewater) all shone in their roles and had powerful voices for such younger actresses.
Jarvert (Elliott Morgan),Marius (Joseph Webster),Enjolras (Bradley Cox) were again excellently played and remained in character throughout.
Thenardier (Tallis Alford),Madame Thenardier (Darcy Melville) embodied the roles and looked to be enjoying the roles and were a joy to watch.
Jean Valjean (Henry Clarke), was the star of the show. A large part who maintains the character all the way through and showed all sides of the character he also had a wonderful singing voice.
The principal cast and chorus who many took smaller speaking roles were fabulous with their characteristics, vocal and singing ability.
Although this was a shorter version of Les Mis all aspects were excellently performed from the sounds, lighting. A clever use of sets of which of which you could just see the Orchestra was a nice touch.
An excellent evenings entertainment.
