How does one report on such an incredible show? From a simple but such an effective set,
beginning with side walls and bridge at the back of the stage, each section swivels to reveal
small sets. Brilliantly thought out. The orchestra under the baton of  David Wilson, exceptional.
Costumes were spot on. They were well chosen and so suitable for each character. All the cast, everyone, performed really well.

Sam Cain playing Jean Valjean was magnificent. Vocals and acting were wonderful especially `Bring him Home`. You should feel very proud of your performance. The three lead females, Fantine (Rebecca Bolton). Eponine (Gina Leckey) and Cosette (Katie Ball) were all well cast and could not  be faulted in any way.  You had super voices. Fantine sang ` I Dreamed a Dream` beautifully. Eponine  and Cosette with Marius gave a beautiful rendition of `a Heartful of Love`  Eponine had a lovely voice singing in `On my Own`

The policeman Javert was well cast.  Benn Whipp in this part was excellent especially singing` Stars'. The leader of the students  Enjolras  was in the capable hands of Kieran Slater. Again his singing couldn`t be faulted.  Comedy was present in the form of the Thernardiers. Amelia Atherton and Liam Christie were really well chosen for these parts bringing a smile as they appeared in the most outrageous of costumes.  You both sang really well.

Playing the part of Marius was Ben Whitehead. His vocals were so good. I loved his rendition of `Empty Chairs` and his duet with Eponine `Little Fall Of Rain` was outstanding. I must congratulate the younger members of this society. Amy Costello played the young Eponine.  Young Cosette (Eve Bolton) sang `Castle on a Cloud` beautifully. However one rising star is Alex Clift playing Gavroche. For an 8 year old and singing `Little People`  you were a credit to CATS. Well done.

Finally returning to Sam Cain, hearing that he is hoping to go to college,  I wish him all the best and hope he will at some time return to be in future shows. To be in this show has been a credit to all especially you.

Thank you for a wonderful nights entertainment.
