Considering the constraints to which this company had to work in the set was remarkable, well thought out and well engaged by all the company during the show. The orchestration was excellent and took us on a journey throughout the whole piece well done. The lighting and effects were very good albeit a little over zealous with the dry ice at times, My heart went out to the entire company who worked like crazy in this show only to be let down by the sound equipment, these are things that should be sorted at the tech; rehearsals and no amount of tweaking was going to correct it and yes I know mic’s have to be shared but it no excuse to let so many people down in what was an otherwise excellent show rant over. The costumes looked great and there was an ease in which the company used them, very fitting for the period. Jean Valjean (Joshua Radcliffe) a very good portrayal of this character and matched well against Javert (Joe Marriott) both of whom had good acting ability and sang with good strong voices well done. Marius (Lewis Burrage) a very good strong role well played out with a beautiful voice. Fantine, Eponine, and Cosette (Laura Merriman, Anna Clare, and Chloe Parr) an excellent casting of all three parts all with beautiful voices. The Thenardier’s (Kate Cartwright, Michael Sheriden) a very funny comedy due effortless performances from both with a very funny deliverance of the song master of the house. Gavroche (Keiron Wilshaw) for me had the wow factor excellent delivery of dialogue and very good characterisation with a good clear voice a cameo role yet never upstaging any of the other performers well done young man.

Overall a wonderful show thoroughly enjoyed by a very appreciative audience
Many thanks for the hospitality during my visit.
