OMG you guys you have done it again. Scored a hit!! You are in the Pink. It’s a difficult show to get right on stage, to be honest, demanding on cast and crew alike but with the talented Mr Alan Stamp as Producer/Director, Cassandra Spence as musical director and Bobbie-Marie Stamp as choreographer - these three have clearly worked very hard to give this musical their all.  A clever fixed raised rostra set was used effectively, with move in set pieces, who needs a big stage where Ashford are concerned, we will get it on and they did with exceptional speed. Perfect costumes were largely self-provided, and were appropriate and relevant for the show, complimenting the piece well.

Bobbie-Marie Stamp was perfect as the bright and bubbly Elle Woods, looking beautiful throughout and performing with style and innocence. George Wheeler played the loyal and steady Emmett Forest and the two of them together had lovely chemistry, one could really feel the friendship between them. Their “Chip on my shoulder” was delivered very nicely. Rae Anderson excelled as Paulette Buonufonte delivering her part with comic grace and good timing, and had us all  tittering with her comic ability. “Bend and Snap” was fabulous. Matt Wheeler played the nasty Professor Callahan well. Young Charlie Sparrow: his confidence was excellent playing Warner Huntington III very well indeed, his serious numbers being delivered confidently.  Amy Louise Vass was a strong and sassy Vivienne Kensington, and Wendy Richardson as Brooke Wyndham:  I was in awe of her ability to sing confidently and look stunning, while skipping on stage!  She didn’t miss a beat or skip, and looked immaculate throughout.

The Delta Nu’s played by Lily Dines, Robin Norman and Molly Spence, were full of energy and pizazz when on stage, had lovely voices and well-arranged, their enthusiasm really shone through. David Stevens wowing us all with his version of Kyle the UPS guy.  Supporting them were a fabulous and supportive ensemble in the supporting roles, all of whom contributed to a lovely show. These being Heather Newman, Adam Coleman, Evelyn Cotterell, Cassandra Spence, Laura Stevens, Zoe Thomas, Ellie Shevlin, Jessica Linington, Kacey Young, Nataizya Kaunda, Skylar Smith, Samantha Stevens and of course we can’t forget the dogs playing Bruiser was Ozzy, and Rufus was Monty. Stealing the show however was Michael Fenna as Carlos and Hayden Rolfe as Nikos - they had the audience in stitches with their antics in “Gay or European” well-choreographed with precision.  Really well-done guys, you were very camp indeed.

The choreography was well rehearsed; well-done Bobbie your hard work was visible to see.  Alan's direction was upper-most as usual. Congratulations go out to all involved in this show from stage to lighting, sound, set and front of house. Thank you for inviting me you always treat me well
