The setting and presentation for this play surprised the audience upon their entry to the Theatre, it was played on the flat and opened with six dancers setting the first scene which takes place in a fish packing factory. The moving of props was very slick when setting the scene of the factory. Whilst a large cast was required to create the necessary crowd effects, congratulations must go to the main quartet of girls - Linda played by Ella Morris, Jan by Jo Pack, Shelly by Rozzie Barlow and Pauline by Julie Easter. The girls go to the Ascot races (or was it York - a little uncertainty in the Programme!!) whiich brought in another choreographed moment with the dancers dressed this time as jockeys. All the supporting cast added overall strength to the line up. This extremely funny script coupled with the imaginative choreographhy from Amy Walters and very effective staging captivated the full auditorium from start to finish. Full marks to Jez Malpas for putting his own stamp on this well written and very entertaining play. .
