Some shows leave a lasting impression and this will be one. Classy from start to finish, great performances by all on stage, catchy memorable music performed expertly and well planned choreography. Well done to all involved. Ensemble you worked your socks off, shone in every number and put the sugar on a delicious cake.

This show needs 2 powerful principals with great vocals and acting and boy did you have that. Charlie (Tom Richmond) was perfect in his role as a reluctant shoe factory owner. Lola/Simon (Haig Cruickshank) gave his all to this part. They both together created stage magic with pathos, comedy, feistiness and amazing vocals.

They were complimented by a strong principal cast. Lauren (Robyn Gaughan) played with great comic timing and Nicola (Jessica Pass) a study in a misunderstood snobbery were Charlie’s love interests throughout the show. Ladies you both rocked it. Our lovely junior Charlie and Simon were delightful.

In the factory we had a variety of characters and I loved you all. Don (Lee McLean) big and butch, Trish (Sally McLean) feisty and determined, Pat (Eilidh Ryan-Robertson) smart and sassy, Harry (Blair Ruxton) confident and strong, George (James Dobbie) authoritative and kind and Mr Price (Andy Beckett) a misguided father. Well done to you all!

Some shows demand a lot of their cast and this one was tough and hardest on our lovely Angels. To wear these costumes and boots with style let alone dance and sing in them is a triumph. You smashed it ladies Ally Semple, Adelle Candy, Craig Smith, Darren Gill, Jen Southern, Michell Ramsay, Niamh McGlynn and Ry Selbert.

The production and backstage team are the unsung heroes of any production. I would like to thank the stage manager, Crew, props, make up, costumes, lighting sound and everyone else involved for your expert work. Hope you are all proud of yourselves You deserve to be. As always thanks for the welcome and hospitality.
