Junior Musicality 4

What an introduction to a company new to NODA. Having no idea what to expect, it made for a perfect afternoon out to be so thoroughly entertained by such a group of talented young people. This was not a concert, but a performance of 'songs from the shows' with no small degree of stage direction and a liberal dose of choreography. Even the re-positioning of the cast between each number was so slick as to qualify as choreography! Some 40 singers gave their audience 32 simply admirable performances from 30 different modern musicals. With only six days in which to rehearse the company as a whole, this was a considerable achievement and is a clear indication of the very high level of commitment from all concerned. With such a remarkably broad selection of music and individual performers, it would be impossible and unfair to select highlights and there were no weaknesses. Technical aspects of the show could not have been bettered and the wardrobe department produced a colourful and eclectic range of costumes. This was entertainment of the highest order, showcasing a remarkable number of talented young performers.
