Galashiels AOS Musical Theatre-Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat

Always a favourite for many theatre goers and this production was full of energy, spectacle and quality performance.

Interesting interpretation of the book in terms of the narrator role where the company chose to extend the role to four narrators who ably carried out the role.

This production ran smoothly and at pace with great energy and team work across the company. Creative settings which helped portray the plot, lively choreography involving the very talented principals and ensemble alike, coupled with memorable musical highlights.

A hugely fast paced show for all, particularly for the role of Joesph. This was ably portrayed by Lewis Jeffs who put his own mark on the role with strong presence, steady vocals and excellent timing.

A special mention to the lighting design and execution as for me there were some real ‘West End’ moments which greatly added to the production.

I would also like to congratulate the orchestra and conductor on an extremely professional sound. Not an easy score but very ably handled.

Finally, I had the great pleasure to present some long service awards on behalf of NODA.
