I have seen Joseph many times over the years and this production must rank as one of the most memorable. From the moment the children from Our Lady Star of the Sea School Choir opened the show we could tell the audience were in for a treat. They had obviously been well rehearsed and they sang so well, their enthusiasm shone through. Costumes looked fabulous and apart from a few “silent “ microphones the technicians did an excellent job. The set was minimal but served its purpose and certainly looked right for the show. Lucy Ella Smith was again very professional in her performance of the Narrator and also provided the simple but very effective choreography. Harry MclLafferty as Joseph was always in character and will be one to look for in the future. The “Brothers” were excellent, each a very different character. Graeme Smith as Reuben gave us a very entertaining rendition of ”Those Canaan Days”. “The Pharaoh” played by Owen Broughton was a delightful interpretation and we looked forward to his appearances. The dancers were excellent, though a few more smiles, where appropriate, would help. I make no apologies about returning to the school choir whose performance was splendid and made the show for me. Another very enjoyable evening by this group and Michelle Cuffe, Producer, Len Hampson, Musical Director and Lucy Ella Smith, Choreographer, should be congratulated, together with all the many helpers, Back stage and Front of House.
