Jesus Christ, not the easiest of musicals, was successfully staged by RMT having two good voices in the parts of Judas - James Barlow and Daniel Alfieri - Jesus, both of whom had good diction, they were well supported by Hayley Beasley as Mary Magdalene. Peter - Tom Johnson, Caiaphas - David Graham and Andrew Cleaver as Pilate.  John McMillan as Herod brought comedy to this serious story. The Chrous had been well drilled in their moves and songs. I liked this set by Proscenium which gives JCS more scope than the stairs that I have seen of late. The band of 6 were well balanced and only occasionaslly were on the loud side .All in all a production Nicola Sandall should be pleased with.
