A most enjoyable fun evening from this group with a Pantomime which ticked all the boxes for the audience.  Great characters, great pace and lots of dashing about gave this show a real panto feel.

From Slimeball, played brillantly by John Dearsley (the Baddie of the show) complete with full length black coat, evil looking make up and very athletic performance, John was hissed and booed at every opportunity.

Steph Felton as a very mod Edna the Eco Fairy  who gave a delightful character and held her own with Slimeball when faced with his evil doings.

Dame Trot played with great style by John Ellson in the highest heel shoes I have ever seen on a Dame,  had a great rapport with the audience and fellow actors alike.

Super costumes all round added to the production.

There were surprises a plenty in this show, and at no point did the action slow down.  It was such  joy to see a Pantomime which had and did everything in about two hours, which is just right for the many small children in the audience and their concentration.

Holly Chapman as Jack and Katie Hyatt as Princess Demelza were both likeable characters and John Page as a very regal King Bertrum with a fun side to his character, added a lot to the good casting of the production.

Flunkit played by Kris Tyler and Simple Simon played by Penny Pickman were good supporting characters.

Another high spot was the entry of Blunderbore the Giant played by Kevin Tipple who was amazing.   The biggest real giant you could imagine, his interpretation of the giant was terrific as was his “Gangnam Style” dance.   Really well done.

The assorted chorus added even more fun to the production.

Musical numbers both accompanied by Sue Edwards and backing music all fitted well to a super show.

How good it was to feel like it was the good old style Panto’s we all used to enjoy so much, and it was obvious the audience were totally absorbed by this production.

Well done to Margaret  for all her expertise in getting  the best out of the cast to give a great evening of entertainment.

Thank you for your hospitality and warm welcome, and congratulations on a pantomime to be very proud of.
