Another home written panto from this very talented group, who guarantee to keep you smiling all the way through this production.

Our tale takes us back to Roman Britain and the peaceful settlement of Nortonicus Canicus and the battle between the Romans of nearby Brownhullisium and the formidable Boadicea. She sends her identical daughters (Until she visits Specsavers) to sell their horse, Jack, as he has become lame, and get a better model. They take him to market and meet Frankie and Benny, one wants to take care of him and the other wants to put him in a horsey lasagne. However the girls return with some magic beans which grow into a spaghetti beanstalk which leads to, not a giants den, but the home of the Gods, who are having their own battles where a surprise birthday party is being arranged.

I particularly enjoyed the recap at the beginning of act two, this was well thought out as was the audience participation which had everyone, young and old, on their feet. I also enjoyed the ‘Step in Time’ number. A good one to get the audience clapping.

The costumes were well thought out and looked just right against a wonderful set that had been constructed. Choreography was good and even through at one stage all the company were on stage they knew exactly where to move.

I am not going to mention anyone in particular as I felt you all did very well and worked together as a team.

Well done to you all.
