I decided this would be the perfect show to be accompanied by my 6.1/2 year old great-grandson. A very intelligent, savvy theatregoer!

He remarked that a lot of grandparents had brought their grandchildren and he was sure it was going to be fun. The hall was crowded and the good humoured audience couldn't wait for the pantomime to begin.

It was a joy. The best panto from Codsall and I think I've seen them all over the past years. A very talent cast with many of their most talented performers stepping outside their serious roles and giving their all to the fun of panto. Phil Harper as Mr Graball richly deserved all the boos he got and Brigid O'Connor as Widow Wonky was a perfect foil for her son Jack (Dan Harper). The cast included fur funny gnomes, market sellers as well as the comedy duo Rodney (Tom Churm and Jill (Sammi Rhead)  The show moved along at a cracking pace and of course we mustn't forget Clarabelle the cow. Fiona Bingham and Wendy Peterson certainly had the best legs of any cow I've seen.

Prizes for the children in the audience together with free juice and biscuits at interval time together with an invitation for everyone to go on stage and join the dancing.

Andrew's comments as we left the show "Oh Grandma that was the bestest panto - better than going to Birmingham!"  That I think says it all.
