This was my first visit to Audlem’s 5A Company and my I say a huge thank you on behalf of Anne and myself for the hospitality shown to us. This year’s 5A Panto was played to a packed appreciative audience who really got into the spirit of Panto. The sets were very colourful as were the costumes, the opening with so many youngsters was absolutely fantastic I’ve always said simple is best with so many on stage and the company worked extremely well with big smiles and dance moves which is exactly what you need to open a show well done. It’s a pity with such a strong community as Auldlem that more men don’t through themselves into the frey and join your obviously very active society, that said (Lesley Davenport) the Dame/Lady, playing Lady, being a man as the Dame in a costume if you catch my drift did extremely well capturing all the comedy and really involved the audience whenever the opportunity arose. (Evie Popovic) as Jack carried us through the show with aplomb singing what has now become the norm in most Panto’s updated songs which is great it helps the younger members of the audience to feel part of it especially as they tap out the beat of the songs. (Kymberley) sister to Jack played an excellent part “ Whatever” cool piece of acting there young lady well done. (Shona Duncan & Rhiannon Brookes) Harp and Goose respectively were well cast and gave strong characterisations with the odd laugh thrown in for good measure. (Gabriella Brewer) was delightful and looked good against Jack. (Lucy Davenport) The Beanstalk what an amazing peach of a role played with true professionalism such a cool dude with all the facial expressions and comedy well done. There was an excellent interlude piece of Modern Ballroom/Latin American dance routine during one of the scenes which was a very welcome change and excellently performed so beautifully danced. The hence men and I use the word loosely !! were a comedy due on a mission suitably attired if pink is your colour then so beit but carried the parts off well. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable evening’s entertainment.

Once again many thanks for hospitality during my visit
