An enthusiastic audience had a good time with this pantomime, joining in as required by the script that supplied all the ingredients to create this annual entertainment.
With a predominantly very young, eager cast there were good protrayals, particularly Bradley McClean, confident and personable as Silly Billy. Nice portrayal from Caitlin Whiteley-Blundell as Jack, and India Smith as Princess Melanie. Harvey Latter was in fine form as the laconic King Satupon, whilst George Parkinson was uproariously loud and brash as Dame Trot. Outstanding as Fleshcreep was Liam Morris, menacing and sinister, super performance. Equal to the task was an good performance from Erin Hill as the Vegetable Fairy with her `Magic Leek`. I liked Molly Parkinson as Mrs Blunderbore, pleasing vocally, a lovely cameo.
Along with a supportive chorus and lively dancers , the whole company deserve great credit for the enthusiasm that contributed to the show moving along at a good tempo. Pleasing costumes, good set, and accompanied by a well balanced band, and you have a good pantomime.
