It's Show Time

This is a hard working Society who put together an entertaining evening of songs from the shows.  There was a huge screen with the words of the songs, for the audience to join in the singing, making a really sociable evening.  There were a charming chorus of children who sang a great rendering of Food Glorious Food from Oliver and Come Fly a Kite from Mary Poppins

There are some good voices in this society and good characterisations. Costumes were bright and cheerful and adhered to the rule of “Dont dress according to the show”. Copyright laws are very hard to follow! Very costly if broken. Sometimes, permission is given if applied for in good time.

I would suggest that some try to sing solo numbers without the scores as this does not help with your actions. Perhaps costume changes for the second half?

We really enjoyed the evening and look forward to “Jack and the Beanstalk!
