This fine evening of It’ll Be Alright On the Night’ was made up of 5 plays from three selections written by Michael Green.  “Trapped” (thriller) and “Southanger Park” are from ‘Coarse Acting Strikes Back’.  “Present Slaughter” and” A Fish in her Kettle” (Parody of a French Farce) were from ‘A Great Coarse Acting Show’.  ‘Four Plays for Actors’ provided the final play “Il Fornicazione

Whilst each of the plays chosen was from a slightly different genre the overall effect was of a cohesive romp through the varied annuls of comedy.  Word play is always an amusing way of creating and developing   atmosphere and this extremely talented group of actors rose to the challenge provided by these plays admirably.  The pace of each of the plays was well maintained and the individuality of each play was firmly achieved.  The technical crew had created and filmed a video to link all the scenes together.  It was most musing and in keeping with the action of the plays.  This programme of plays provided the opportunity for new directors to try out their skills and ideas without having to tackle a full scale production. This they achieved with great success.  Much, of course, depends upon the actors who gave their all.

Yet again HAG produced an excellent evening of entertainment for their appreciative audiences whilst at the same time providing a challenge to their actors and crew.
