Warmly welcomed by the front of house Helen and I were ushered to my seat looking forward to a good evening. The house was packed. We were all seated around tables, caberet style, and brought picnics, drinks etc, and were served with wine by cast and FOH - all in 1920s' costumes. This gave the evening a really inclusive feel. What a terrific Idea.

The premise behind the show is to give members of MMS principal roles and to show of their various talents and, on the whole, this worked really well.

The mix of music and songs was from the golden age of stage and screen, set in the 1920s and was worked around rehearsals for a show in the weeks leading up to it. The script held the whole evening together well and I had a really enjoyable evening full of old songs that takes you back to days of yore.

A terrific four piece band band under Alistair Hume really added to the performances, allowing the cast to show of their various abilities well. Well lit, good sound and a simple yet effective stage with great costume and a good use of props.

Thank you MMS, this was a great night. Looking forward to Dirty Rotten Scoundrells in April, and then back here this time next year
