This society gave the audience a really funny play `Inspector Drakes last Case` was a laugh a minute

It relied on the best performance I have seen of Tony  Meeham as the bumbling Inspector Drake. How he got so many different names without a pause was brilliant. He was helped ( sorry, hindered ) by Sgt. Plod  well played by Adam Manning. As he said at the beginning of the play `Don`t believe everything you see.`

The play opens  in the house of Mrs Gagarin as she takes a walk in her garden . A shot rings out and it rests on the world famous Inspector to find out who has killed her. Great performances were given by David Crank playing Mr Gargarin,  Suzanne Smith as  Miss Duck and Rob Crank  as Mr Butler. Completing the cast were Eddie Done (Mr Guest) , Jess Barnett (Mrs Gardener), and Sharon Holstead(Mary Ship). Sharon also  gave a fleeting performance as the unlucky victim . I must mention the director Colin Dean who stepped in as Mr Cook at very short notice. Well done.

It really was a great night for laughs,  but please remember that we  sometimes  miss  what is said  as we are still  laughing,  so wait for the noise to die before your next lines. We do want to hear all the very funny  jokes,

Thank you so much for a great evening .
