Farce is one of the most notoriously difficult parts of the genre to perform well but with a set which includes five exits and entrances (and that includes a window!) with a talented cast and Direction Team what can possibly go wrong?  Well, absolutely everything at the Health Farm concerned but nothing at all with this production which provided excellent entertainment on a cold winter’s night.

The whole cast literally threw themselves into it with Ciaran Kiely giving his Potter, the extremely moralistic manager/owner of the Health Farm in great style.  Doug Webb as Gerald, Tom Whitlock as Rodney, Sarah McKinney-Green as Linda, Bronja Whitlock as Sandra and Sandra Haynes as Marion (who were all staying at the Health Farm for various reasons!) gave their all in true farcical fashion as the story evolved as to who was involved with who.  Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive!

As mentioned above, the set was ideal and congratulations to all involved in design, construction etc and for making it so workable and to the stage management team.

So much other work goes on out of sight of the audience – lighting, sound, props, costumes and everything else that makes for a successful production (including the bar and the ices creams!).

Many congratulations to Director Ciaran Kiely, Assistant Director Loz Jackson and Producer Barbara Bone for bringing everything together to ensure that we had a fun-filled evening.
