This piece was written and developed by the cast of this funny, interactive and tongue in cheek look at previous events in history.

This was very much a creation of this talented group and they all played various roles. From the time of the dinosaurs up to and including both world wars all periods were given a pathos and understanding from a modern perspective. I especially enjoyed the passionate votes for women section and how the thought-provoking World Wars were portrayed. Audience participation was encouraged and many were included in the action.

All of the cast showed their enjoyment throughout the piece with many strong performances. A confident dinosaur, Sherlock Holmes, suffragette leader, Roman senators and plague victims to name a few. Well done to Rowan, Sophie, Kaya, Miya, Rhoan, Isabella, Roxy, Felix, Fia, Summer, Xavier, Naythan, Charlie and Viktoria.

This production was enhanced by the slick lighting and sound. The props were appropriate and well managed and the set although minimal was used to great effect. The costumes although sometimes as simple as a white sheet gave the desired effect. The music written by a local person, Brandon Marnie, given the final touch by Colin Grant and complemented the writing with its catchy melodies and powerful words.

This was an inclusive effort with everyone in this group whether on stage or off playing an important role. Spotlights continues to encourage young persons to become involved in theatre in all its aspects and this was an excellent example of what can be achieved with creative minds. I am looking forward to the next production from this talented group.
