Tom Stoppard’s translation of Gerald Sibleyras' play, Heroes,  is a tour de force three hander, but one that needs three good actors.  Ellen Simmons, the director,  chose well and this superbly directed “Heroes” had everything in place for success..As I've said before, I have seen Heroes three times and this Heroes was certainly up there at the top.Take three older actors Glyn Rogers (Gustave) Roy Drinkwater (Henri) and John McCrae (Philippe), give them something to get their teeth into and you have excellence. These three actors were the best I have seen in years, perfect timing, perfect acting, and their command of their characters was sublime.Tim Hinchliffe, Laurence George and Claire Bushell’s set was amazingly built and the design was worthy of any West End stage. I haven’t seen a play in ages that got everything right in all areas. Ellen you should be very proud of this and your three actors gave us a perfect evening, look out for the accolades coming your way.
