This society is noted for its excellent home-produced sets and this one lived up to their reputation. Scene changes took place very efficiently. The lighting plot was good and the special effects were extremely good. As is the norm, there were plenty of opportunities for audience participation. The musical numbers were well chosen .

Emma Holt [Gretel] has a delightful voice and was nicely supported by the rest of the cast. This panto contains many witty lines ensuring the comedy was readily apparent. The wicked witch had a remarkably evil-sounding laugh. The costumes were suitable for all the different characters. Waddington Village Hall has certain limitations regarding space and accessibility to the stage and good use was made of the ramp up to the stage as well as the more usual entrances. This was a very entertaining show where all performed really well.
