Half A Sixpence is one of the most enjoyable musicals with its strong story full of humour and most memorable songs. There were many pluses in this production from this recently formed group. The much improved scenery and props enhanced the staging. The casting was good in all roles with excellent performances from Ellie Sewell (Mrs.Walsingham), Nicole Ackroyd (Mrs. Botting) and very impressive ones from Jess Winstanly (Ann Pornick), Matthew Scott (Chitterlow) and Erin Haley (Helen Walsingham). The star of the production was without doubt Jake Lomas (Arthur Kipps) he didn't just come on stage, he dominated it with a performance that was so incredible that any society would have been proud to have him play for them. This was a most enjoyable show.
