~~Once in a while, after a slight re-write, a musical re-invents itself and this is one of them.  Faye O’Leary’s production was a joy to watch.  The chorus numbers were well choreographed, a credit to Maggie Jackson and the orchestra was just at the right level.  Both the principals and chorus followed Musical Director Sheila Pearson well.  Chris Buckle gave is an impressive Kipps, even through at the beginning of the production I did have trouble trying to understand him.  Chris was well supported by Charlotte Middleton as Ann, wonderful voice, and Mark Skett as Mr. Shalford.  Tony Orbell shone as Harry Chitterlow who brings the news that an announcement has been made in the newspaper that someone is looking for Kipps.  Helen Simon, Paula Lumsden and Patrick Jervis played the family Walsingham, wonderful roles for all of them.  The shop girls and boys were good.  Both the costumes and set put the final touches on the cake for this production.

Another quality evenings entertainment from S.C.M.T.C  You should be proud.
