HAIRSPRAY

I love the ambition of this company in the way it has grown and improved in such a short time of its existance. The cast of this production of Hairspray was excellent in all roles filled by most competent performers. Jessica Winstanley (Tracy Turnblad) gave a very mature performance displaying a strong voice and very convincing acting. There was some very fine performances from Jordan Barker (Link Larkin) Jack Moorby (Edna Turnblad) Isaac Hayley (Wilbur Turnblad) and Lauren Elliot (Motormouth Maybelle). Chris Littler-Moore (Corny Collins) was outstanding he enhances every production I see him in such a commanding stage presence. I did find the sound equipment tone on the strong side and the orchestra too loud for young voices to cope with on some occassions.
