A full-on performance from start to finish with everyone putting all they had into making this production another success for HATS. Great start to the show with "Good Morning Baltimore" and with Ruby Thomas' delightful and bubbly performance of Tracy Turnblad and the company, we knew we were in for a good time.

Christopher Peck and Trevor Fuggle played Ruby's parents, Edna & Wilbur in great style with Christopher really making the part of Edna his own, with Trevor as her ideal husband. The rest of the cast also played their parts with great aplomb.

There was little dialogue so the singing was of great importance and this came over from everyone very well so that we could hear every word. The glamourous Dynamites, the backing group also added much, looking and sounding great.

MD Pat White's band was excellent with most of the players in another room (a technical challenge indeed) and they made a great sound for this very upbeat show.  Costumes and makeup were just right, with wonderful wigs, and the scenery was ideal and well handled.  Good programme as well.

Well done to all involved, especially Directors/Producers Chris & Linda Thompson, MD Pat White and Choreographers Linda Thompson & Charlotte Coleman.
