The colourful set for this production was first rate and posed no problems for the stage staff. The lighting and special effects were in safe hands and the costumes were very suitable. All the main characters played their parts very well. The two chief couples were particularly good. I liked Rachel Keay's Miss Adelaide especially well The cameo role of General Cartwright [Georgina Tagg] was very pleasing. The support throughout by the chorus members was excellent and it was good to note the musical talents of the Mission Band with each playing an instrument of one sort or another. The routines by the Hot Box Girls were good and it was the Luck Be A Lady and I've Never Been in Love Before numbers that were the real highlights of the show for me. Very occasionally the band was over-loud against the singers, but otherwise it was a very competent production with plenty for the audience to applaud. Well done.
