Wow, I was really looking forward to seeing this show, it is one of my favourites and I certainly was not disappointed. The show had been playing to full audiences and the night that I was there a group of pink ladies donned with pink jackets were in the audience.

Everybody was well cast, each character growing as the show progressed. Danny Zuko played by Charlie Edwards was every teenagers dream, as was Sandy Dumbrowski played by Amy – Jo Clough. They both worked well together. Emily - Rose Baxter as Betty Rizzo gave a very moving performance when she was singing ` There are Worse Things I Could Do ` – she certainly showed the two sides of her character. Neil Lawson gave a great cameo performance as Teen Angel – he certainly was ` Flying High `. Special mention too must go to James Shields as Roger – he really enjoys himself and gives his all to the character he has taken on. He will be missed when he goes off to Stage School in October – Good Luck James.

The ` Grease Lightning ` number had lots of the wow factor in it – with the super red car playing centre stage on the turn table – I did like the hub caps and the students really enjoyed themselves with the - ` We Go Together ` number which brought us to the end of both Acts 1 and 2. Another number which deserves a special mention is the ` Beauty School Dropout `. Congratulations to the Dropouts – Pat Chambers, Kerry Hartin, Joanna Jeffreys and Joanne Metcalf, they certainly had the audience in stitches – well done ladies.

The set worked very well and congratulations must go to the lighting department for the very atmospheric use of the red lights in one scene and the flashing lights in another. There were also some very well choreographed numbers in the show.

Well done everybody. Thank you.
