The show features many well known songs “Greased Lightnin' ", “Sandy”, “Hopelessly devoted to you” and many others.  It was a stage show in 1971 before becoming a popular film in 1978.  The story is of Sandy and Danny, high school sweethearts at Rydell High School, how they met and fell in love over the summer, the ups and downs of their high school pals including the Pink Ladies and the T-Birds.  Sandy – very well played by Hazel Baldwin – had able support from her Pink Ladies and Chloe Payne as Rizzo was exceptional when singing “There are worse things I could do” as was Sean Granahan as Teen Angel.  The T-birds were fun and electrifying with Max Harwood as Danny.  Jack Baldwin as Doody was delightful and played his part with a pleasing sparkle.

BAOS "Limelight" brim full of talent and enthusiasm and have a great backstage team which enables them to shine.   The audience were responsive to the toe tapping songs and the time fled by.  The quality of the choreography and direction was excellent especially in the group numbers: “Summer Nights”, We Go Together” and “Born to Hand Jive”. The musicians, led by Simon Eastwood created an authentic sound providing invaluable support to the youngsters on the stage.  Congratulations to an outstanding team.
