Another hit from the pen of David Crump and how the audience enjoyed it.
The plot centres round Ivor Blackhearts circus when it arrives in the village of Gigglewick. But what the villagers do not know is that Blackheart and his sidekick Madame Seyoncee have learnt that there are three magical bears that live in the local wood and they would look good in his circus. Will Goldilocks together with Gorgeous George and a friendly fairy be able to stop them? Only time will tell!
Ivor Blackheart (Christian Truman) and Madam Seyoncee (Deb Crump) led this talented company well, with good support from Goldilocks (Darcy Fowler) George, Poppy Rutter Dame Nora Bone (Richard Pritchett) and Colin the Clown (Libby Gilbert). The Fairy, Lily of the Valley was played by Robyn Klein-Christoffels and she suited the role well. The Three Bears worked well together (Jodie Cockeram, Stu Etherington and Eleanor-May Ramsay) with good support from The Mayor, Bogstrocket (Bradley Reynolds). The small chorus worked well and provided good back up.
The set of this production looked good and fitted the stage at Highbury. The costumes were good and from an audience point of view fitted the production well.
Sound and lighting was just right. You could hear every word from the stage.
Well done to you all and I look forward to your next production.
