Director Ian Appleby took the bold step and opted to ask the cast to assume French accents, which really worked.  As usual the sets and costumes were of a very high standard but what would you expect from Sutton Arts.  Louise Farmer, taking on the title role embraces the stage with a girlish innocence.  Mark Natrass as Gaston remains aloof before falling for her charms.   Susan Lynch played a very believable Grandmother, remaining proud and erect throughout the production.  With good support from Elena Serafinas and Valerie Tomlinson, while Robert Alexander was a very convincing butler.  I must say I enjoyed Bhupinder Dhamu as Sidonie, the maid, a nice cameo role.

The play entertained the audience throughout and was another hit with them.
