After the traditional show Opening number, the very young Beaver Scouts got the show off to a great start, capturing the audience with their antics on stage. From then on, the entire Scout Gang staged musical song selections from “Our House”, a journey of American songs, via The Lost Planet, and back home again to songs from musical knight composers, plus Music of the 80s, all of which were presented by a well drilled cast, who also performed some very clever choreography. Hit songs from the musical “Oliver!” was entitled “A Modern Twist!” and turned out to be quite a “twist” - because the cast were costumed, not as expected in Dickensian style, but in modern day costume throughout the number! Comedy was again to the fore with the “older” leaders (and some very talented youngsters) bringing their particular brand of talent to the comedy sketches which had the audience chortling along. More traditional fun was contained in the “It’s Pantomime” number, which had the audience roaring with laughter when things went slightly wrong on stage! It was an extravaganza of music, song, and dance, presented by the energetic, youthful, Scout cast who looked to be enjoying the whole experience!
