It is good to see Junior Shows and this was no exception, an enjoyable, happy show. It was good to see so many youngsters involved in Musical Theatre. The enthusiasm came across throughout the performance. The acting, singing and stage movement throughout by all the cast was very good. Congratulations to Director Elizabeth Wrathall, Musical Director Stephen Wrathall and Choreographer Rowena Sweeney.
Starting with the Young Anna (Florence Bush) and Young Elsa (Jessica McNally) who began to tell the story by building the snowman Olaf out of items found in the bedroom. Their parents King Agnaar (Eddie Lee) and Queen Iduna (Lucia Joseph) setting out to find a way to stop Elsa’s power.
The Middle Anna (Isla Hanrahan) and Middle Elsa (Maisie Lee) then continued to tell the story of the two sisters. All these actors showing that the Society has talent for the future.
After the fall out of the sisters Elsa (Blossom Palmer) and Anna (Emily Morgan) over the engagement of Anna to Hans (Tilly Farman), who turned out in the end to be the baddie and was enthusiastically booed by the audience, assisted by his sneaky assistant Weselton (Raphy Armstrong).
Fearless Anna set off to find her estranged sister with help from Kristoff(Oliver Henderson), Reindeer Sven (Ira Bingham) Olaf ( Jacob Boggis) excellent costumes for the last two although they must have been difficult to work they did it very well and Oaken (Lile McGrath) a very happy soul, all worked in the rescue of Elsa.
It all ended when summer returned to Arendelle and they all lived happily ever after.
Special mention for Blossom and Emily for their acting and singing skills and look forward to their future on stage.
The Scenery and lighting effects were good and fitted well to the story and the costumes were colourful and also fitted well with the story.
Well done to all concerned in the show and congratulations on your Young People’s Service to the Community Award which is well deserved.
