The audience were treated to a wonderful evening of music  from  so  many shows. There were so many great singers and dancers it is almost impossible to pick out individuals.  Music was from shows  included  Oliver, Chicago, Grease, Les  Miserables,  Footloose, Guys and Dolls to name a few. Soloists were   Beth  Allcock,  Maxine Crook, Colin Dean, Ian Dean-Boardman, Wayne Gibson, George La Rae, Barbara Lewis, Tony Meehan, Cheryl Rigby and Nicola Walsh.

The show began with a rousing  `We Will Rock  You`. Following this was a delightful section from Oliver with Colin and children showing us how to` Pick a pocket` and Beth singing a beautiful `As Long as He Needs Me`.  Seven Year Old   Amelia Charnley  sang a lovely `Tomorrow` from` Annie` and later in a stunning outfit danced to the number `Singing in the Rain`

I thought all soloists sang really well but I especially enjoyed some  sections.  Ian gave a stunning `This is The Moment` from Jeckyll & Hyde. Tony brilliantly sang `Empty Chairs and Empty Tables` and Beth sang an emotional `I Dreamed a Dream` from Les Miserables .   George was outstanding with his rendition of`` Beauty School Dropout` from Grease but  his  presentation  of  `Diamonds are a Girl`s Best Friend` was wonderful in THAT Dress!!! and flowing wig, certainly the envy of many of the audience.   Ian with the chorus was  outstanding  with the number `Any Dream will Do`  Every single cast member sang a superb final section from Mama  Mia . Numbers  including  `I Have a Dream`, well performed by Jade Allmark  and Wayne, and  a  beautifully  costumed ,  Beth , Cheryl,  Maxine and Nicola sang Mamma  Mia. Everyone  sang and danced a smashing `Dancing Queen` and the show ended with the brilliant  singing of  the iconic` Waterloo`.

Every  member of this society. Backstage. Sound. Lighting , costumes and front of house  must be congratulated on the hard work  done  in putting on such an enjoyable night. Well done.

Thank you for the invitation and care given to me.
