There are several aspects of this evening’s production that will stay long in the memory of this young company and your audience. The first incident will I’m sure be recalled with a degree of amusement.  We all evacuated the building at the command of a very loud fire alarm – moments before they were due to start the performance!  Everyone in the theatre responding as appropriate and collected outside in the designated collection points in the Car Park! Excellently executed.

Fortunately – everything was okay and within minutes of returning to our seats Frankenstein had started and began to weave its magic.

James Manning – played Victor Frankenstein with authority and credibility. His was a sensitive performance, solid and believable.Vicky Gatward-Warner-Warner as The Creature, gave the piece a degree of gentle innocence that was most impactful, making the morality of the tale very clear. Laura Wilson as Victor’s fiancee, played Elizabeth beautifully – portraying very much to the type of reaction to be expected – gentle, confused but stalwart. Christopher McGowan as the Old Man was convincing in this important role – showing that his loss of sight was imperative to highlight the moral of the tale. The absolute stars of the show were the Ensemble – almost everyone (including many youngsters) were great support at some point in the play.

This production was a glorious, combined effort from all participants.  I believe they were representative from childhood to pensioners! Your Director Leon Robichaud certainly invested your imagination, humanity and theatrical know-how in this production.  It was exciting, intriguing, enlightening and a joy.  Your company will have certainly gained valuable experience of ‘dramatic effects’, costume – ‘acting choreography’ and the odd moral here and there. Certainly, memorably collaborative.  Congratulations.
