Fly Me!

This was another very interesting offering by Writer/Director Judith Foot.  The story that ran through the whole piece was great fun and was interspersed with many popular songs sung with gusto by the cast, very ably accompanied by MD Nadia Bunker and Mikey Parsons.  The pace was a bit slow to start with but soon picked up and there were some very good performances as the story unfolded.  There were so many characters - The Fly Me! Holiday Reps, the holidaymakers, passengers etc, not forgetting the extremely talented Harlequin Dancers who played the dancers of St Maud's School.  Peacehaven Players are certainly fortunate to have these young ladies in their productions.  There were many scenes, particularly in the second act and all the changes were dealt with well by the backstage staff - never an easy task.  Well done to the Wardrone Team who gave the whole thing a real holiday feeling and to those who designed the backcloth for when the holiday destination was reached,  The whole team must have worked very hard and the enjoyment  by the audience was evident.
