Fiddler on the Roof

This classical musical suffered from too many on stage and a set that took over the running of the musical.  As a consequence it became too staccato and long winded.  Perhaps better trucks with proper stage castors would have improved matters.  This was disappointing following last year's innovative set for Sound of Music.  The costumes in some instances were a mix of modern and old!

The orchestra under the baton of Alan Hutchinson was very pleasing to listen too.

Chris Head as Tevye and Karen Jamieson as Golde played their parts well with feeling and were ably supported by their daughters and respective suitors.

The Bottle Dance performed by the Ukrainian Dancers was I felt a very inspired touch.
