Festive Fanfare

~~This fabulous evening of choral entertainment by this company’s “Festive Fanfare” gave many in the audience the perfect start to their Christmas celebrations. The assorted series of Christmas songs was cleverly woven together by the Hostmaster, Roger Rixon. This was an ensemble show and no one performer should take the lead over another, the team essence was evident and the overall balance was superb. Difficult as it was to pick out particular voices and carols my own personal favourites were “Candlelight Carol”, “Nutcracker jingles”, “The Christmas Song” and “Jingle Bells Rock”.
Director, Avril Pinkney, kept great control over all the performances well backed up by pianist, Chris Hyson. What an evening! A big thank you must go to the whole company for a superb seasonal celebration of music all of extremely high choral quality. Congratulations everyone!
