Three of the original TV scripts had been chosen: Communication Problems, The Germans and Hotel Inspectors. These proved to be very acceptable by the appreciative audience. Basil and Sybil Fawlty were played extremely well by Doug Smith and Karen Revill. Trevor Fentons Manuel was unforgettable with remarkable facial expressions and Donna Hardiman was fine as Polly Sherman. It was good to see Jenni Blankley back on stage as Miss Tibbs along with Veronica lyness (Miss Gatsby) and Dean Revill as the major. These characters appeared in all three epoisodes.
All the rest of the players portrayed their roles very well.I particularly enjoyed Kate Greens performance as the prfoundly deaf Mrs Richards;Jon Molson as Mr Hutchinson and Jon Russell as Mr Walt.
The set of the hotels reception area and dining room was first rate. The lighting and sound effects were in very capable hands. The props were in keeping with the era and so were the costumes. The end result was an evening oif real mirth and laughter.
